Clear Braces

Clear braces are an attractive alternative to traditional metal braces. A clear, plastic retainer is worn by the patient in order to correct dental problems and straighten teeth over a period of time.

As providers of ClearCorrect braces, Advanced Dental Group can prescribe and fit clear braces and monitor your progress with them.

Who should consider clear braces?Aligner-on-Table-v2

As clear braces are essentially invisible, they are perfect for people who want to avoid the appearance of metal braces.

The ClearCorrect aligners are suitable for adults and teenagers. Unfortunately Clear Correct braces are not suitable for children, or for major dental problems (such as rotated teeth or severe overcrowding).

How does it work?

If clear braces are desired, we book in a consultation with the patient to assess the suitability of Clear Correct. We will take a series of photos and impressions to check your bite before formulating the treatment plan. We then submit your prescription to the Clear Correct manufacturer, which will develop a series of customised aligners and send them back to our clinic. In the follow up appointment, we will fit the first set of aligners and explain the process. The patient will continue wearing the aligners until the end of the treatment, and during this period regular appointments are necessary to monitor the progress and to evaluate when to switch to the next set of aligners.

How long does it take?

The treatment period varies from patient to patient, depending on the complexity of the case, but can range from a few months to a few years.

How long do I wear the aligners for each day?

The aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours a day. They should only be removed when eating or brushing teeth.

Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment?

Like for traditional metal braces, we usually recommend patients to continue using a retainer after the ClearCorrect treatment period – to ensure the longevity of your new beautiful smile.

Retainers only need to be worn for very brief periods, and these are included in the cost of your treatment.

What is the cost?

The total cost of clear braces varies from person to person. We will be able to give you an accurate price following the initial orthodontic consultation.

We offer flexible payment plans, and private health rebates may apply.
